Overcoming Self-Consciousness
Overcoming Self-Consciousness
Many people experience have moments of being self-conscious, where they feel as though all eyes are on them. In fact, appropriate self-consciousness is healthy and necessary, as it represents our graduation to a new level of evolution. But at a certain threshold, being self-conscious impedes our evolution, holding us back from free expression in our thoughts, emotions, opinions, and energies. It represents an imbalance in our self-perception that leads us to overvalue the impressions others might form of us, and so we regulate our manifestation based on an external reference point - one which we may construe as critical. With greater energetic capacity and awareness of our multidimensional reality, and by shifting our focus to others and taking more responsibility, not only can we overcome self-consciousness, we can recognize more clearly who we are and what our potential really is.
