Account by Marisela A., Miami, Florida
I was forty years old, my professional career was in a good track, my family was successful and stable, and my daughter was a grown, independent, excellent college student on her way to finish her education. However, I felt that I was not complete, that my life was lacking something else that my achievements were not giving me. Obviously, the things that I thought I was supposed to look for in life and that I have pursued with so much effort were not enough. I realized that I had to look for something else. I later learned that I was not the only one feeling this way but that this sentiment was very common.
I started attending meditation classes and different conferences in search for a better condition. I was very fortunate because I found IAC in a short period of time.
When this organization gave a presentation on the content of their courses, I felt it “click” inside me. I decided to take the courses. This was seven years ago. I am still convinced that this has been the best decision I made for my personal and ethical growth.
The experience and knowledge acquired with the CDP courses enriched my life in a way that no traditional school could ever do. These courses address techniques for leaving the body in a controlled way, using our energies, and knowing the consciousness, among others.
Each of the following aspects manifest in different but complimentary manners:
1 – Out of the Body Experiences (OBEs): I learned that we all have the capacity of having OBEs, but we do not know it, do not remember it, or do not know how to control it. I also learned that some people have a predisposition to leave their body and others not. I belong to the latter, compared to other students that I met at the institute. I do not leave the body easily or, better said, I do not recall the occurrences. I have had the “flying” experiences and spontaneous “lucid dreams,” but not often. (I have learned with these classes to differentiate lucid dreams from OBEs). The courses also helped me provoke OBEs. This phenomenon brings so much joy, that it can not be described. Only the experience itself offers an explanation. The understanding of other dimensions, that our body is just a temporary vehicle in which the consciousness manifests itself on this plane, that this world is not our reality but just a period in our evolution, was a real wake up call for me.
My experiences with OBEs have allowed me to look at my life in a very different way and understand priorities I should have. The doors to other dimensions have been opened.
2 – Working with energies: I discovered bioenergies attending the CDP courses. I learned to identify, control, and use those energies. Practice with bioenergies helped me manage different situations in ways that I was not able to before (I used to be very impulsive and explosive. - I lost my control few times during these seven years, much less than before. And, in those occasions, I was able to correct my behavior when aware of it).
The repercussions of working with energies have a very positive effect. These are not limited to the individuals engaging in these activities, but to the places and the people around. I was able to help people to feel better; sometimes they noticed and sometimes they did not. I never said anything to them.
3 – Conscientiology: This complements bioenergies and OBEs. This point is what makes this school more different from others, in my opinion.
The IAC studies the consciousness (“us”) in a very scientific and rational way. These studies help you know yourself and other people better. The topics studied were a major step in my life. I learned we are experts in hiding our weakness from ourselves; we like to see the good aspects of our personalities and not the aspects we need to correct.
I knew from before that we have to change to become a better person. However, I did not know that what we needed to change was not obvious most of the time. How can we change if we do not know what to change? I found many answers taking these classes.
Conscientiology also teaches us how to find and use our personal ethics, the ones we store in our collective memory. It offers tools and possibilities to evolve at a faster pace. Another invaluable result is the contribution you can do to others. Using IAC terminology, when you console a person, you are perpetuating negative emotional and energetic patterns. When you offer a person clarification, you are asking them to look at the situation as an objective observer, unable to hide behind their faults (i.e. being in denial). Whenever possible, you can assist a person with the clarification of ideas instead of consoling. You help to the evolutionary process of other consciousness by helping them confront themselves. This action is very rewarding.
My life has definitively changed after these courses. I attended different conferences during these seven years: conferences that talked about inner peace, meditation, energies, and assistance. I found many of them as having good intentions (not all of them, as we know) and a positive approach, but that did not give me the completeness that I experienced with the CDP courses.
The IAC programs are empirical and scientifically based, with professors highly committed to research and who have acquired a wide and diverse knowledge of the topics. This is an organization fully dedicated to the development of the consciousness and the evolutionary process. They encourage the students to have their own experiences and not to believe on what the institution says. They offer to the students the tools for them to reach their goals in an independent way, at their own pace, in their own time. I found all these very good reasons to continue to attend to other extra curriculum courses they offer in a variety of subjects.
If people could have the opportunity to receive this type of education as part of their classes in the regular schools, the world would be a lot different, much better.
