Instructor, Researcher and Director
IAC - International Academy of Consciousness
Rodrigo has been a consciousness researcher and instructor since 1993, and has presented lectures and classes in several countries, in four languages, and participated in numerous debates, symposia and congresses related to consciousness research.
With over a decade of conducting theoretical and practical studies about Clairvoyance as a visual perception of non-physical dimensions, Rodrigo co-authored the Image Target Research Project; a study in remote perception presented in the III International Congress of Consciousness Studies, and created a course and workshop on Clairvoyance development.
Other areas of research include the application of personal first-hand experience in the scientific method for better understanding the mechanisms of psychic phenomena and the processes to develop those abilities. Findings related to this research were presented in the I Forum on Paranormal Phenomena at the University of Miami and the course "Personal Evidence versus Scientific Evidence in Parapsychic Phenomena".
Another topic extensively explored is how the consciousness filters, amplifies and distorts perception based on previous experiences and how they affect psychic development and personal growth. This research activity gave basis to the authorship of the six-hour class "Renewing your Mindsets," which has been presented in Brazil, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, the UK, and the USA.
Rodrigo was a guest speaker at the University of Florida in the for-credit class "Contemporary Studies of Consciousness," offered by the Psychology Department and sponsored by the Center for Spirituality and Health, and participated in numerous roundtables and debates promoted by the Science of Self Club.
He also participated as an instructor in the continuing education class "Self-Awareness through Out-of-Body Experience" at the Miami-Dade College.
With a background in Electrical Engineering and many years of experience working in the field of Information Technology, Rodrigo is a Business Intelligence specialist. Part of his professional career was devoted to teaching complex technical topics for various types of public, from administrative staff to subject-matter experts. His didactic practice combined with years of interaction with instructors and volunteers from many nationalities gave him a good foundation for his role of IAC's Education Director.
Rodrigo is originally from Brazil and lives today in Miami, where he is part of the staff of Florida's volunteers that support IAC's activities in the US and Mexico.
The results of his research findings have been published in mainstream magazines such as "Mas Allá" in Spain and "Kindred Spirit" in Italy. Rodrigo has also been interviewed by major TV and Radio show hosts such as CBS 4 News (USA), Telefórmula - Cablevisión (México), Radio Libertad (Madrid), and Radio Caracol (Miami).
